It is said that Armwrestlers all have a mutual respect for each other because they know the damage they can do. Some wrestlers have been known to break or snap their own arms during a bout. This can be from one of two reasons: 1) from bad positioning or 2) by possessing enough strength to overload their own bones. While this is uncommon other injuries like tendonitis and muscle tears it seems are par for the course. Not surprising then that each ‘grip’ is adjusted and each ‘pull’ is closely scrutinised at every angle by three referees. |
